REIMAGINING CITYSCAPES & MINDSCAPES: perspectives from Italy and Australia, and CAST OUT LOUD launch
Luisa Bravo and Maggie McCormick will discuss Italian and Australian based research projects that reimagine the experience of public space, and CAST OUT LOUD launch, The Journal of Public Space (Vol. 3, N. 1, 2018).
This CAST OUT LOUD seminar brings together The Journal of Public Space editor and president of City Space Architecture, Italy, Luisa Bravo with RMIT Adjunct Professor Maggie McCormick to explore trajectories of Italian and Australian public art research projects. In this discussion, feelings, dreams and personal experiences are explored as a new kind of urbanity and a new urban lexicon is posed with the capacity to express the changing understanding of cityscapes as mindscapes.
The seminar will be followed by the launch of the June 2018 edition of The Journal of Public Space, which includes contributions from Maggie McCormick and Grace Leone. Seminar participants will be: Grace McQuilten (MC), Maggie McCormick and Luisa Bravo with an introduction by Daniel Palmer.
