School of Art Graduate Festival

Launching Monday 30 November 10am AEDT!
RMIT School of Art Graduate Festival

COVID has meant 2020 has been a challenging time for our whole community. As the year unfolded, we came to the realisation that, like so much else this year, our graduation celebrations would move online. Within the School of Art, throughout the year we have been humbled by the ingenuity of our students as they responded to the challenge of working with what was at hand, in a new domain for many. Our online graduate festival celebrates that spirit, that true creativity, and the many incredible achievements we would not have predicted twelve months ago.

Our virtual exhibition space will be showcasing works by over 250 graduates from our fine art and photography programs:

Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art)
Bachelor of Arts (Photography)
Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) (Honours)
Bachelor of Arts (Photography) (Honours)
Master of Photography
Master of Fine Art (Coursework)
Master of Arts (Art in Public Space)
Master of Arts (Arts Management)

Ceramics, drawing, gold and silversmithing, painting, photography, print, public art, sculpture, sound, and video are just some of the practices on show with performance, web art, site responsive actions and installations also featuring amongst the responses to COVID conditions.

After the launch of the online galleries, with pages devoted to each student, the two-week festival program will feature awards, performances, discussions, interviews and podcasts curated and produced by the students across the programs.

Join us in celebrating our graduates in a year unlike any other.
