Material Assembly (MatA): Re-Forming Matter
Join us for the re-launch of Material Assembly (MatA), an RMIT-based collective of artist-researchers working at the intersection of material, meaning, and making. This dynamic exhibition marks a renewed chapter in MatA’s evolution, showcasing experimental works that push the boundaries of contemporary art and craft.
Through critical, sensory, and speculative studio-led practices, MatA artists explore the transformative properties of materials as carriers of cultural ideas and agents of new forms. From the tangible to the technological, the works in this exhibition respond to our rapidly shifting world with curiosity, rigour, and imagination.
