Through Time and Space
Be part of an Australia-China exhibition
An opportunity for our Chinese International Students in Australia and China during 2020–2022
In the last two years, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have all travelled through time and space to a destination we would have never imagined.
No more so than for international students, some of whom came to study in Australia while others remained outside the country having been caught in border closures — both experiencing an educational journey they would have never anticipated.
The Museum of Chinese Australian History invites Australian university arts graduates to participate in a visual arts exhibition to be held in conjunction with the Australian Embassy in Beijing. In this virtual exhibition, titled Through Time and Space, 50 artworks will be selected from artists who resided in Australia or China (allowing for those who studied off-campus) during their Australian university study during the pandemic of 2020–2022. The works are to capture the general creative output of artists during this time and in their location.
The museum invites visual artists who have graduated from Australian tertiary institutions to submit artworks that they created between 1 January 2020 and 31 March 2022.
Deadline for Expressions of Interest is 31 May 2022.
