First Site Gallery proposals to present an exhibition, performance, or event in Semester Two 2020 are due by 5pm Monday 20 April. This opportunity is open to all RMIT students, you do not need to be studying a creative course to be eligible.

What kind of projects can you propose?
Solo, collaborative, group or curated exhibition
Series of performances
Theatre piece
Conference/symposium
Mini festival
Tell us your ideas!

What are we looking for?
At least 50% of project participants are studying at RMIT in Semester Two, 2020.
Projects that are not for assessment.
Projects by students from diverse study areas.
Diversity of creative expression/practice.
A clearly written proposal that provides all requested information.
A balance between experimentation, and being achievable within the time frame.
Projects that consider disability access and cultural inclusion.

We are offering funding for select projects that align with First Site’s values , such as:
Project by First Nations student/s
Collaborative project (between different academic schools is desirable but not essential)
Unconventional project, e.g. theatre performance, interactive games, concert, participatory art
Project that addresses social, cultural and/or environmental issues
Project that aims to be accessible and inclusive for audiences with disabilities

We welcome applications from people from culturally diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTQIA+ practitioners and people with lived experience of disability.
