Dear Students of RMIT School of Art,

The current COVID-19 global pandemic has caused difficulty for all of us. The school is aware that this situation is affecting our student community in various ways, with many of you finding yourselves facing high levels of uncertainty and difficulty in adjusting to our new learning environment.

Our International student community has also been affected by this situation. As a school we are committed to supporting our international students, recognising that many of you are also affected by these recent events but have limited supports available.

RMIT University has actively expanded their Student Hardship Assistance Fund and Equity Scholarships providing up to $10 million in additional support for all students impacted by this situation (i.e. open to both international and domestic students). If you have any concerns please get in contact with the RMIT Coronavirus Hotline on +61 3 9925 5005 or RMIT’s Coronavirus Website.

The dedicated RMIT Coronavirus team can support you with your concerns, including economic hardship from job loss, housing, visa and health issues.

In these challenging times, please don’t hesitate to reach out for help.

Take care and stay safe,
Professor Kit Wise
